Student Travel Grants

We expect a limited number of student travel grants to be available.  More information will be provided once we better understand the expected number of attendees, costs, and we finalize our corporate sponsorships.

Venue & Lodging

The conference venue is housed within the Cincinnati Art Museum , which is nestled atop the historic and beautiful Mt. Adams and overlooks Cincinnati, the Ohio River, and the adjacent state of Kentucky. A hotel within 10 minutes walking distance will have a block of rooms available for discount (see reservations above link above).  A shuttle service will also be provided. The conference runs Monday through 1/2 day Wednesday (see agenda link above).

Regional Points of Interest

For interested attendees, short 1 to 2 day group trips starting on Wednesday will be organized to unique regional points of interest such as the world's largest continuous underground cave system (Mammoth Cave National Park), 'biochemistry in action' on the Kentucky Bourbon Trail, a visit to Chicago, or a local tour of Cincinnati.  If you are interested, contact: Anna Mincy, amincy@providenttravel.com, 513-763-3062, with the email subject line of 'Group trips for Electrowetting 2014.

History of the Meeting

We recognize the previous hosts of the electrowetting meeting, without which the 9th international meeting would not be possible: Mons (1999) , Eindhoven (2000), Grenoble (2002), Blaubeuren (2004), Rochester (2006), Los Angeles (2008), Pohang (2010), and Athens (2012).
