everly advisingProposing or sponsoring a senior project is a great way to have a team of students tackle a problem or project that you may not have the time or resources to address.

Senior students have over one and a half years of real-world experience acquired through co-op jobs and significant mastery of classroom theory. Together, these experiences allow them to bring fresh perspectives and novel ideas to their senior projects.

Senior Design Development Teams

senior design project3Senior project teams are usually composed of 2-4 student teams from one or more EECS and/or other CEAS majors. They first spend time gathering requirements and documenting specifications for the project. Next, they work on design and development. This is all followed by finalization, testing, and demonstrating the project in the spring.

If you propose or sponsor a senior project is not necessary to pay the students, but you can compensate them if you wish. It is, however, expected that you will provide funds for the equipment and supplies needed for successful completion of the project.
