Embedded Systems

(6 courses, 19 or 21 credits)

Minor Advisor: C. Purdy

An embedded system combines customized hardware and software to carry out a specific set of tasks. Every day we benefit from many embedded systems in our cars, in medical devices, in consumer electronics, and in smart home appliances. New applications for embedded systems are constantly being developed. Embedded systems developers must pay particular attention to safety, reliability, and security in the products they design.
